Good Morning All,
Most of the time Ollie wears his plain old invisible fence collar. It has to be removed for walks Etc. His other collar is a regular martingale collar. He doesnā€™t need a harness. Heā€™s a dream to walk.

Hereā€™s the rub. Ollieā€™s neck and chest have gotten huge. The regular martingale collar gets sort of lost between his neck rolls. Lost to the point of you canā€™t even see it.

Iā€™m wondering if a 2ā€ collar would work (maybe too wide because of folds?). Does anyone use a 2ā€ collar? Please advise.

These are the collars in the running. Again only for leash walking and going out. Thanking you in advance,
Dana

No help here as Louie's neck and chest haven't fully filled out yet so we are still using a martingale collar.

Like Duke...his collar is 1.5ā€ n I simply donā€™t put it tight collar can hang even lower. When he was losing his fur, too tightly didnā€™t help regrowing the hair. It hangs below his folds. I simply leave a collar on as Duke is the type you need to grab fast. I walk Duke with a choker.

We use Martingale 3/4" Collars...but our little girls are all petite. But, we've had some pretty big boys and girls come through but none have ever needed anything more than 1".

I like a harness for my French bulldog because she likes to lay down and roll over on walks ,and I end up grabbing her and picking her up by the loop on the top of the harness :)

I use the harness too, seriously the collar is only for their tags. I use the smaller one for Willow, and the the 1" for Walter. His neck folds are HUGE and I would imagine a 2" one would be uncomfortable.

We use this for Monty. It is really for his tags as we use a harness to go anywhere. He has worn it constantly for a few years now and it has held up brilliantly. I will definitely buy the same if and when his present one wears out.

I have a harness we never use for Canelo, but when we go to the vet I have a Texans Collar I put on him and attach a leash. I am blessed that Canelo goes with the flow and listens. Here is my point, Canelo when wearing a collar would back up and slip out of his collar because his neck is thick. Try a harness, they do help.

Yes, Monty did that too which is why I am so impressed with the collar we use. We normally use his harness but if I can ever manage to get him out of the driveway for a short walk around the cul de sac, I just use his collar.

Iā€™ve never used a 2ā€, but if he is a good walker, you should be fine giving one a try a d see how it dies... just make sure it isnā€™t too tight
