Hi all,

Tayto’s fever went down from 105 to 102.5 this morning and he’s been on IV antibiotics and fluids. They still think pneumonia but are also checking for a fungal infection that’s native to the Midwest. The internal medicine specialist noticed his lymph nodes were enlarged and his liver had an odd color. Waiting to hear more...

Thank you soo much!! Tayto came home this afternoon as he was deemed clinically stable. He is going to continue on a heavy dose of antibiotics with nebulization and coupaging to help break up the pneumonia. As for the other symptoms, we are waiting for those results still...

Hugs and positive thoughts for the little one.... hope he get well quick. It sucks when they are sick -- keep close eye on him, pneumonia is a real bugger

Add a bit of yogurt since he’s on heavy dose of antibiotics.

Plain or Greek?

Plain Greek. No flavours just plain. It contains more probiotics. Or you can also give Kerfi which has a bit more. Even plain FERMENTED Sauerkraut. Probiotics will help restore the flora in the intestines which antibiotics destroys.

Awesome I will do that!

I’m happy to report Tayto is acting more and more like himself. His temp was 99.7 this morning, he ate all his food and was very cuddly. Still waiting on the results of a few tests but I’m hoping things are trending in the right direction!

Thanks to everyone for the love and support! Tayto is doing MUCH better. He's practically back to his old goofball self. His temperature has consistently been around 99.1, he's eating normally and wants to play and snuggle again.
