    Default Long tail Bulldog

Hello everyone, my first post! I was recently given an English bulldog (I hope) from a friend of mine. He has a straight long tail, which I have never seen, at least here in the US. The puppy’s parents both had a short screw tail. Anyone else have one with a long straight tail? I was kind of turned off by it st first, but now I love seeing it wag when he is happy! Doesn’t look normal lol but it gives him character. Anyone have info on the tail? I’ve noticed a good amount from UK actually have a straight tail as well.

That's a long tail for sure but I think he's just a lucky bulldog, you too.

WOW... he is gorgeous! Look at those paws!! Tail, what tail??

It is better for it to be long, less tail pocket issues ... it is more common in UK

The tail is just one unusual quirk. It is all good.

    The boy is a looker.

I have tail pocket issues with Nyala, trust me I would definitely no worry if she had such a tail!

And yes.... what a beautiful furball.

Looks like the proximal half is a screw tail. I agree with the others... less/no issues with keeping a tailpocket clean! Chomper is a great looking boy and those paws! How old is he?

Thank you all for the kind words! Really puts me at ease with his tail, since I’m not use to seeing it. Chomper is about to be 3 months! Full of energy

-001-jpg @Danielj23 As you can see, Maude has a "half a tail". I call it her happy tail, because she can wag it, as opposed to her full sister, who has a small crook, and can barely move it! Sometimes when an EBD is born with a tail like Maude's or your beautiful boy Chomper, a "breeder" will dock the tail. There are more born with tails, than we know!

you see a lot in the UK and Europe this way , NO TAIL POCKET ISSUES
YOU MIGHT BE A BULLDOG IF...

...everyone else in a room with you is pinching their noses
...you snore like a chain saw.
...it takes too much energy to beg
...your snore is louder than your bark
...you have never seen your tail...what is a tail anyways?
...you're the loudest snorer in the house.
