Eye boogers. Jewel has these everyday but Bentley does not. It is perfectly normal to have some which may need to be wiped away a couple of times a day, certain breeds are worse than others. If they become more sticky, white or cause the eyes to become red and sore it may be an eye infection. This would need veterinary treatment.

Eye goo could certainly be environmental allergy, although allergies popping up this time of year I'd consider unusual. Possibilities...the eye goo could be the beginning of chronic dry eye, entropion, ingrown eyelash, or...he might have a corneal abrasion. Was a Schirmer tear production test done, a stain test? Dismissing the cause of the goo as allergy without doing these simple tests is ill-advised.

Hey stranger!! Where are you located again? Might have to try Zyrtec or Claritin... Benedryl dies nothing for Lambeau eye watering during allergy but Claritin did help some
