Hello,

I went grocery shopping earlier , in the meat department there was some raw bone morrow bones . Are they safe to give our bullies?

I normally, buy them at the moms and pops pet feed store.

Thank you!

I don't give my dogs bones, but I would say it's safe. Don't cook them, just freeze them for a few days to kill any possible parasites and serve them frozen or thawed.

I work in the food Industry and I sure freeze all for the pups. Especially when it comes to human being involved with handling food!

I hate to say for sure but I think you want 6-8 inches of RAW marrow bone. I hope someone else gives you the for sure answer though... That is what I get though.

Quoting @2BullyMamma from a previous posting:

I get them from grocery store and a butcher

At grocery store.. usually in frozen meat area with turkeys or liver.

At butcher, i ask for a raw femur bone , knuckles split and bones in lengths of 4 or 5 inches

Megan = Meg,
I have just bought my first package of the bones a couple weeks ago and have been frozen for that time , waiting for a time when they have all ( have 5 dogs ) been good boys and girls as a group, That said I could be making a good soup with them versus waiting for them all being good on the same day lol
But I am gonna give them a try
