Just wanted to share this with y'all. I found a cooling vest at Petco today. I've never seen one before but I love the idea of having it on hand, especially in this Texas heat. Also found some super healthy treats I thought y'all might wanna try also [emoji6]

treats look good, but I'm really interested in the cooling vest... Have you tried it? I have a cooling towel thing but no way to hold it on him and he things towels are for play anyway. Let us/me know what you think if you like or not,,,, or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if HE likes or not

[MENTION=16280]Hankster[/MENTION] we did try it today! Ranger and I both LOVE it. He also thinks towels are play/chew toys so trying to wrap a cool towel around him when he's hot is almost impossible. It holds water well, stays cool for a long time and the velcro is at the top on the back so it's super easy to tighten/loosen. Also it isn't heavy. He didn't seem to mind having it on at all. He's also used to wearing a life jacket so he may be a little more adaptable to having something similar on. I highly recommend it. I found it at Petco for $25 but I'm sure they have similar ones on Chewy or Amazon.

saw on petco site but not the others..... what size did you get? I still worry about the heat though because hes such a tender foot that even if his body is cool his feet would burn up???? it would sure be nice though for when we're at his other home.... It's all grassy there so it would make his potty breaks much better!! and safer

If it's above 70-72 degrees in our home he begins panting. It's going to be super convenient to throw on him when he's on his potty breaks. I take NO chances when it comes to heat with him. I've heard way too many horror stories about people losing their babies because of the heat.

i should probably get that size too if i do...Hank is 45 lbs.. I am super careful as well with heat. Hank seems to tolerate high heat better than your Ranger though. but i still wont chance taking him out in it.
