Oh Chip, I'm SO sorry... I'm just now reading this!!! I'm SO glad that Pippy is okay, and her eye was able to be saved. Poor girl... good thing that you caught this early on, it could've been much worse. Prayers for continued recovery, and hopefully she will stay away from those darn rose bushes!!!

Precious Pippy looks great! Congratulations on the successful surgery to save her eye. Bless her heart! And you, too! What a great pet parent you are - tolerating Bulldog farts to snuggle her!

Hoping her recovery is a breeze.

So sorry, I just caught up with this thread. What a worry and then what a great outcome and relief! So pleased she is doing well, farts notwithstanding!

Update...Pippy doing well but as expected, she hates that cone...and is frustrated with it. Vet insists on us using the hard one as opposed to any soft one. Jury still out. Their concern is her ability to get to her eye area with one of her front paws...as opposed to her chewing at a surgical site, say on her leg or belly. I saw her take a swipe at it last night and the cone stopped her from getting at it...so for the time being we'll do what's best for her and follow Dr's orders.
Thanks again for all of the kind thoughts.

Happy to hear she is doing well and you are surviving the 'cone'

Was about to ask you for an update....Thank you!
Btw, keep that horrible cone. When Nyala got spayed n fixed that cherry eye, she was going for her eye n that cone saved her eye a few times. Till she figured out to help in the garden n use the cone as a shovel!!!
