First of all, my wife and I were never going to agree on a name. So to make it fair, she agreed to the "Rocky" theme as long as she got to pick the name. Drago was out. After much research, she found the name Spider Rico, the opponent in the first fight in the movie series. So now our new addition is called Spider Rico Suave...Rico for short.
Since we brought Rico home yesterday, he has been totally animated and non-stop action. Not worried about the older kids around him (Lulu and the two cats) and just doing his thing. Potty training is going great, he already knows to do his business outside. Crate training however is a bit of a challenge. When first put in the crate, Rico becomes the most vocal bully we've ever had. The sounds coming from him are similar to a werewolf going through the change. However, 5 minutes of ignoringhim, and the screams turn into snoring. He is very well trained on cuddling...seems to come natural for him.
I was hoping to have a lot of cool pics to post...but not so much. He won't keep still. But that's alright. We have a lot of time to teach him how to pose.
