@bfletch13 how is Jozie?
sorry i am replying late i have been super busy with crossposting shelter dogs, Beefy has anal gland issues which they were so bad when we got him even though his glands are good now he is going to need one of them removed because he was not getting a proper diet for his needs in his 5 years of life before he came to us. I tried EVERYTHING, blue, diamond, fromm, evo,petcurrian, by nature and none of them had him firm enough. Finally i went to natures logic Beef, its high in protein and fiber I also add yamms to each meal and a probiotic enzyte now he has firm poo but becuase his poo was soft for so long one of his anal glands was infected when i got him and it just wont heal properly. Its sooooo important for dogs with digestive issues to have firm stool or this will happen. Hope this helps

Where are anal glands located. BEFORE you call me a dumbaxx, I mean are they where you can feel them from the outside or do you have to stick your finger into the dogs butt to feel them. How are they expressed? Curious!
@BruceP, Vegas has to have his anal glands done every 4-5 weeks, they are located right by thehole on the inside. Some dogs you can just squeeze them like squeezing a big zit and they will release, Vegas on the other hand has to have the Vet stick his finger up his hole and actually manipulate them to get them to express. It is not
that comes out, it is a clear VERY STINKY fluid. Some dogs never have to have them done they will release on there own when the dog
, but ohhhh no not so lucky with Vegas. I am thinking Samson from @TessaAndSamson, has to have his done about every 4-5 weeks also if I remember correctly.
Samson needs his done every 2 months.

Sorry its been awhile since I've posted.
But Jozi is better now. She is on her
second bag of Fromm now. She did have
to be boarded over the weekend and it
messed her system up. But she is
back on her routine now. I almost thought
the kennel didn't feed her the right food
it was so bad.
Nothing a can of pumpkin didn't fix.![]()
