Wondering if I should register my new bulldog? Evidently, my breeder did not register the litter. I seen the parents and as far as I know, he is 100% English bulldog.

What would be the reasons to register? Can I still get an AKC registration somehow?

If not, what are the other registrations?

The AKC will not register the pup, if the breeder did not send the litter registration in. I don't have experience with any other registry.

As Manydogs said, since the breeder didn't register the litter, you can not register the pup. Really you don't need to register anyway unless you are showing for confirmation or going to breed. Since you can not register, and probably don't have the pedigree, I would not breed. Breeding should only be done with careful studying of the two pedigrees to make sure you will have the best pups to the BCA standard, for health and temperament. If you bought this pup for a pet, then you do not need to register, even if the breeder registered the little. I do not have any experience with other registrations nor do I recognize them, other that the CKC ( Canadian Kennel Clug) or The Kennel Club of the UK.

Same thing here in Canada. Its the breeder that has to register the litters.
