Our vet quoted 2100 bucks for the surgery including $200 blood work (thyroid). This seems high based on the internet research I've done, although those numbers are not bulldog specific. They also want to keep Herschel over night which I'm sure jacks up the price. Does this sound right? Recs for the Tampa area?

Also for the surgery be sure they do not use ACE , bulldogs are know to have issues with that drug. I forget the full name of it--- TyTysmom

My bulldog Winston had Entropion surgery, and I believe we paid around $1200-1500 for the surgery. He was not kept overnight, and if you are having labs done then the price may not be that bad.

I would love to get a second opinion. Our vet is n an affluent area and is not necessarily a bulldog specialist. We haven't had any issues with our vet yet but Herschel also hasn't been much of a problem. We haven't been given any recs for a bulldog vet in our area.

Seems a little high, plus I would definitely find a good bully vet for the surgery.

I'm in Arkansas and we have had both eyes done and it was 550 and no overnight stay . We've been through this surgery or some form of procedure 4 times.Best wishes for a safe surgery

I should clarify that I went to a specialty clinic in Nashville, and I wish I hadn't. A good bully vet can do the procedure unless their are complications...
