Harlea had her semi annual check up today and as we have with all of her other visits we ask them about getting her on Apoquel for her itchyness... After 2 years of not being able to keep it in stock they were finally able to give her a prescription today. Happy dance all around. Other than the itchies she is happy and healthy... woohoo.

We were there about 2 weeks ago and they had it too! We were on the list, but I don't think he needs it anymore since switching him to THK. Glad they finally have it in stock though!

That's great news for Harlea! I hope she will get relief from the Apoquel. Finn has been on this off and on and it helped him tremendously.

We are hopeful that it will help. The good thing is that we found out that there is a once a month shot for Apoquel as well so we will see about switching to that if all goes well.

Todd if it does for Harlea what it does for Hershey you're going to be amazed! I can't get it here yet, which is absolutely insane because you would think they'd be able to meet the demand after all this time. I'm lucky enough that Hersheys forever vet in Delaware still prescribes it and Rick picks it up and ships it to me.
I've tried weaning him off but it starts with red between his toes that turn to interdigital cysts and then huge red blotches on his belly.
I'm confident it till work for Harlea. Good luck!

All i can say is holy wow. Everything I had heard and read about this stuff sounded great, but I was still like yeah right it can't be that good.. Not anymore. After her first dose yesterday I noticed a good reduction in her scratching after about 2 hours. Her second dose last night reduced that even more, and with her third does this morning she didn't even stop to scratch on her way to go potty after breakfast which she has done every morning since we got her. Keeping my fingers crossed that she keeps doing well on it.

Bella is on it, too. It does wonders for her. I'm so glad it's working for your sweet girl.

It is so hard to get due to the time it takes to make it. I have found some articles that originally stated it was a 3 year process to create and others here recently that say it now only takes 3 months per batch so it should be getting better soon.

Hey Todd - Marine91 - How is Harlea doing on the Apoquel? Its been a couple of weeks now. Tyson has the itchies now, so I wanted to call and see if I could get him some from Brittmoore.
