So im thinking. Yes I do that.... lol

Nyala will be getting spayed next month at same time I want her microchiped. Now ive read GPS can be implanted.

Has any of you have that on your bully? Or what do you think of gps chips?

Thanks for the input :)

I didn't know they had GPS chips! I would go that route for sure if it were me. I've seen collars and tags that have GPS, but never chip that are implanted. That's pretty awesome. Do you know the name by chance?

Wow never heard of this. My concern however is that gps to be traceable will need to have a battery same as LoJack. Not sure if that is a good thing to have implanted on a live animal.

I went to see the vet that's going to spayed Nyala so I can extend to date. I will be babysitting my son's 2 dogs for a week falls same time as Nyala's surgery. I spoke to him about this gps chip. He will look into it as he said he has horses and would love gps them. He also said he knows of a vet in Ontario that started to do this gps. He will give him a call to see if it's a go or not. If it is legit I rather wait for Nyala's surgery so she spayed n chipped same time. If this company went belly up, for sure not going to bother with them. And yes the battery issue not good. On the other hand my aromatherapy lady had her cat gps in Ontario. I will ask her about it. Doesn't seem to have batteries the way she was talking. Works with an app. I will let you guys know for sure. Man wouldn't that be the best thing to have in your bully. Whoever wants to steal your dog is basically cooked. Lol. Like an "On Star" cool

Castor has a microchip but I've never heard of gps chips. As long as they aren't harmful it sounds like a good idea.

I read some time ago that hunters here in Sweden use gps (collars) to keep track of their dogs and there were problems because one system, which was imported from the US (where it was perfectly legal), happened to use the same frequency as the Swedish military systems. Apparently, dogs could block out the military communications systems which of course would be a very serious problem.
