that looks exactly like the warts frank had when he had 'oral papillomatosis'

http://www.englishbulldognews.com/f...health/45662-frank-oral-papillomatosis-2.html

you can see the pic I posted of his wart on that page.

Frank's were all inside of his mouth or on his chin area though.

But, I would still say that looks like a wart on ms bella!

Edit: I see Jackie posted in here too, ruckus' warts are in that thread I linked as well!

and yes, if it's anything like franks you might need some towels on hand when the thing finally comes off. his would get ripped off during play, they were pretty bloody. didn't seem to bother him at all though!

Madie, that thread is SUPER helpful! Thank you so much. I'm really scared to pinch Bella's...not because of the blood, but because I don't want to hurt her. :(

I just did it!!!!!! Thank you guys so much! Wow, it did bleed a lot. This is gross, but I crunched it like Jackie said...Bella didn't flinch at all!

You guys are amazing! Should I put something on the residual sore?

I'd just put some neosporin on it. or 7%iodine.

LOL, I don't think I'm easily grossed out. I was terrified of making her yelp in pain, though. She was so chill...she held her head up for me the whole time I did it. Unbelievable!

Ruckus just let me do it when I crunched his, too. I'm not sure how much feeling he really had in it. I put some peroxide on them to dry them out and then neosporin. Glad to hear that Bella is on the mend!

Wow! You're a braver one than me. I just couldn't do it. I would go to squeeze/crush one and just get too grossed out!

Bella has something on her face. The first picture is from mid-December. The second picture is from today. It's gotten bigger, obviously.

On Christmas Eve, I went to the bulldog specialist vet in my area, and she said it's a skin tag, which will always be there. "Bulldogs have bad skin." That's what she said to me. Also, she said that she can perform a minor procedure to remove it. (I didn't agree to procedure...yet.)

Yesterday, I took Bella to her vet daycare (where they noticed the thing), and they said its a wart or herpes, which should fall off eventually. They said she probably caught it from another dog.

The thing is, she hasn't been around other dogs in a long time. But, I feel like it's a wart. Why would a year old pup get a skin tag?? To me, it looks more like a wart than a skin tag.

Is there something I can put on it? I will go back and ask her regular vet what I should put on it, but I'm wondering what you guys think.

It doesn't itch her, but it's ugly.

Hi Cali Doll. Jewel had wart like lesions in her folds on her mug....face. Our vet said they were papilomas which will eventually fall off. I will provide you a link to my earlier post...please see http://www.englishbulldognews.com/f.../47805-oral-papilloma-virus-jewelie-girl.html . At the site there is a link to Pet MD that discusses the growth.

I hope this helps. --rj
