thanks guys :D 4so far i have had 31 replies and the percentage of symptoms of undiagnosed dogs is..
• Excessive snoring 11 73.3%
• Excessive panting 7 46.7%
• Overheating 6 40%
• Longer than usual recovery after exercise 6 40%
• Intolerant to exercise 6 40%
• Retching, Not food related 2 13.3%
• Disturbed sleep 2 13.3%
and the percentage of dogs already diagnosed with BOAS:
Yes 10 32.3%
No 21 67.7%
so it seems the main symptoms and diagnosed cases are quite high, if this was compared to a long snouted breed such as a german shepherd or labrador i imagine the results for the symptoms would be a lot lower. I definatley think that the condition should be a lot more educated about in brachycephalic breeds (Short snouted).
