I agree! I think this is what gets me most of all. Bella has so many human-like emotions. I marvel at her sometimes. You know what else...She brings joy to, not only me but, everyone we encounter. She's truly a blessing. Honestly, I'm honored that I get to take care of her.

I've had couple different breeds before but always loved EBs. Now I have 2 and will never get any other kind of breeds anymore. I love them so much

Well this thread really has confirmed what we thought and we often say Dudley seems more like having a mischievous toddler around the house rather than a pet. Thanks for all the kind words about Dudley he is a cutie and he knows it! and plays on it!
RiiSi that picture is fantastic! made me smile, that said i cant help looking at a bully without smiling!

I grew up with a beagle and a yellow lab. As an adult I have owned two Bulldogs. I have had friends and family who have owned several other breeds and to me the Bulldog is in a completely different category, and I don't think I will ever own any other breed.

Just realized that I too, do not refer to them as dogs...they are bulldogs.

And as @RiiSi & Ellie say, bulldogs are a species unto themselves

Am compelled to come back and say this...for everything said here
    by different members, agree.

It is not by chance but GOD's blessing of me with my 1st bulldog, Brutus,
just two months before losing my beloved husband. Cruelly, I then lost him
just 5 short months later, both sudden & unexpected deaths.

Although I thought it too soon and worried I was too broken to take care of her,
I adopted Cami, who needed a home but gave me the needed home of her heart.
If not for her devoted, constant care of me and her diva, bulldog antics to add the
little bit of joy to my darkest days, I might not be here today. Cami will come to me,
stare into my eyes and just like that, we are looking into each other's soul & having
    deepest conversations wordlessly.

What price can you put on that? Thank you, GOD and @Davidh and you, dear Cami.

    It's only bulldogs for me.

    My 1st bully, Brutus
    RIP beloved boy.

Bullies are a wonderful breed for sure, and there is nothing like them, and they will steal your heart for sure. But I must admit, I thought Bullies were the only breed I would ever have the rest of my life, until I got Frenchies, and now they are just as wonderful as the English. Just as loving and little clowns just like English are.

    I never met a bulldog I didn't love.

And I never refer to them as dogs.
