They have seriously got to do something about that bloodline. They have been interbreeding(inbreeding) for so long that these dogs have been plagued with health issues. I for one am saddened by the fact that this ones regal line is now as bad off as a backyard breeder produced pup. This is a complete travesty

When I was reading all I could about bulldogs on the internet I stumbled across some anti-bulldog sites. Are you guys aware of these? Certain activists think that the bulldog breed should be stopped. The UGA line was one of their prime examples.
As someone said upthread, it was mainly a heart defect before.

I was really shocked that there are people actively trying to stop the further breeding of all bulldogs.

They are from the same bloodline. All UGA's are related. They insist on them being direct ascendants from UGA1 and all white. That is why PETA has it out for Georgia. They don't want them to have a live mascot any longer. Even England has been letting new "common' blood into the family, why can't Georgia?
