Start with a step up harness. Amazon has the Rogz step up. It is lighter and you can get a medium one. I believe it is $17. Then in few months get a Julius K9. It is very stylish.
You can still use the step up anytime as a spare or when you are just at home.

Yeah, I saw the guide - I used that measuring method for a custom collar I ordered - and it came in and what so big! Ugh. That's why I'm discouraged and prefer to base it more off an actual bully & their weight. Tyson has a large chest too... Are the straps semi-adjustable? The one he has now is not bulky, but it's not this thick, I think the thickness/wideness of it will be more comfortable for him.

    My whole heart, Tyson.
Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend, obviously never owned a Bulldog.

I think you can definitely wait til he's a bit older b/c then you'll have to buy another harness to adjust for his size. I am very happy w/the Julius K9 harnesses myself; i got a size 2 for the boys who are 4yo, 70lb and 57 lbs.

Hi, we also have the Julius K9 Harnesses and I absolutely love them, they are lightweight, really help with the pulling while walking, they are stylish and easy to put on and off. My guys weigh 45 lbs, and I bought them both the size 1 harness, and they fit well. The velcro strap on the chest and the buckle strap on the tummy are both adjustable as well. They come in a lot of cool colours. I bought camoflauge for Dozer and Pink for Blossom. I am not familiar with the Brilliant K9 brand, so can't give you any advice on those. The website does have a size guide that goes by measurement.

Here is the size chart from the Julius K9 site.

Available: Black, Red, Blue, Pink, Autumn Touch, Neon Green, Woodland, Kiwi,
Team Green, Blu-Sky, Orange, Purple, Aquamarine and Silvergrey

    Sizes

    Baby 1: Chest measurement: 11 - 14 inches
    Baby 2: Chest measurement: 13 - 18 inches
    Mini-Mini: Chest measurement: 17.75 - 21 inches
    Mini: Chest measurement: 20 - 26.4 inches
    Size 0: Chest measurement: 22.8 - 30 inches
    Size 1: Chest measurement: 26 - 33.5 inches
    Size 2: Chest measurement: 28 - 38 inches
    Size 3: Chest measurement: 32 - 46.5 inches

Here are my guys sporting their K9 Julius Harnesses:
