hes been vets and he says he if fine a little chesty but nothing to worry about :ohmy:like i say he is playing eating etc etc ,is there any other signs of pnemonia

Well...again, it depends on how BULLDOG SAVVY the Vet is and if YOU
feel something is not quite right. Can you send a video (with sound) so
we can listen to what it sounds like?

Hi Paul some vets have more experience & more understanding of the breed and there issues are you in the UK? I was told by my own vets there are vets in Liverpool and London that specialise in just Bulldogs - I think if they see Bulldogs on a daily they have a better understanding of the breed and pick up on more I suppose that's like anything - as for other signs of pneumonia my girl became very lethargic in the afternoon she spiked a temp, she was off her food this all happened very fast within hours as I said in a previous post she was playing eating & drinking prior to this

if you look on the bulldog breed council & bulldog rescue website's they have a list of bulldog recommended vets ( that's if your over here in the UK and your looking for a new vet)

Aw Manchester is my home town - she was fine in the morning play eating etc, I put her lunch down at lunch time and she wasn't intressed one bit, that's when I got a feeling something wasnt right with her but I couldn't decided if it was down to the heat (it was summer just gone) or she was generally not well, I kept a close eye on her by 4pm that day I was rushing her to the vets she was very lathargic, hot to touch and seem like she was trembling the ev said the trembles was from the high temp, they kept her in and had her on both a fluid & antibiotic drip.

I'm not wanting to worry or anything like that as it could be something or nothing, I would keep a close eye on him you know your pup and you know if there's something wrong.

:hmm: have you tried giving a Benedryl to see if it helps or use a squirt of lemon juice in the throat to break up the phlegm?

without hearing the degree of the rattle, it is hard to say if normal or an issue... try the Benedryl or lemon juice - see if that helps
