As much as I've tried to show Buster how to lift his leg and pee he still squats like a little girl. LOL!

Goob was about 2 when he started to lift his leg. He was neutered at 8 months and always around female dogs. He has never been around male dogs but I remember the first time he lifted his leg was on a walk. I think he wanted to squat but the bush was too high and he ended up just lifting a leg.

Now, he squats at home and whenever he sees a leaf pile but lifts his leg on walks to mark light posts, hydrants, mail boxes, etc.

Blue was the only child (ok, dog) until we got Wellie in September so he learned it on his own. I wonder if it has to do with their hips? Just easier on them to squat then lift.

Harvey at 8 mos. old still squats. He is the only dog so he can't learn from another one I guess until he sees one doing it.
