YES, this is a must!!!!!!, and each time your EB drinks you need to clean, rinse the bowl and get fresh water. As I am sure you have noticed after they are done drinking, their bowl is one big bowl of slime water. lol
We did at first but our girls figured out how to drain it all over the place. So now we use a stainless steel dish that is clamped to the side of their crates.
Yes. She has her own water bottle for walks morning and evenings . People crack up when they see me giving her water haha I love my girl , spoiled rotten.
I work from home, so the dogs are rarely left by themselves. I didn't used to leave water around because my bullys drool when they drink and even after I wipe it up, the floor can still remain slippery (have had a few kids bang their butts on the ground by the water bowl). So, their water is outside... so they get to drink when they go out. But now, they're out there all the time, so they have access to water all day long.
P.S. my bullys are raw fed... there's a difference in water intake between raw fed and kibble fed.
What would be an excess amount of water? We are having issues potty training. When my Maggie drinks, she drinks like a pint. She is 10 months old and eats dry food. She is a rescue.
