Well the time has come for me to go
back to Pa. for work. Jozi and I will be
leaving around noon tomorrow. It will
take us 2 days to drive up there. I'm
pulling my travel trailer so it will be a
longer drive time.

I think I'm more worried about what to
pack for her than I am for myself. Does
anyone have any good travel tips to share?
She already rides very well. Just curls up
in her seat and goes to sleep. She will have
to have her 3rd set of shots while we are up
there. So when I get there I will be visiting
several pet stores and boutiques asking there
opinions on vets in the area.

Any tips or words of wisdom will be greatly
appreciated.

Hi there. Good luck in your travels :)
Our boy is 3 and he has done lots of traveling with us. We actually travel from TN to PA at times for work, 10 hour drive one way.
We always make sure he stays hydrated and make sure we make stops for him to stretch his legs, potty and run a bit. We also keep some light cool air moving for him.
We take him a big bed (fave blankets) and toys to play with to keep him entertained ~ Also, I play light music for him, i think he likes it...must be soothing.

She will do great!! Safe travels to you and your little one.

what a good daddy taking her with you, that little girl lubs you oh so much! here's what i like to do for travel:
-I have a soft crate made by "go petclub" that i bought from overstock.com that is perfect for travel. much easier than hauling around wire crate. (jozi is little so i know it isn't practical now, but in the future i recommend it)
-I portion his food in to individual ziploc baggies and include his medications.
-I get a travel pack of butt wipes for clean up after on the go potty breaks. good for cleaning the face too.
-Treats!
-Food/water bowls of course
-Seatbelt harness (again, she is little now, but in the future!)
- I also use this thing for water bottles so he can have water without having to stop and drink from a bowl:

i think that's it for my tips. if i think of something else i will post again. Have a safe and fun trip!

Where in PA are you going?

We stay north of Williamsport, a town called Towanda.
Have been going up there and working for about 3 years now.

sheila That bottle topper is awesome. I'll look for one.

Hope you have a safe trip. If you're going to be anywhere in the York area I know of a few vets . Harrisburg has a good Bully vet that is recommended on the BCA website.
