Using vinegar doesn't make them smell like vinegar? Do you rinse again after the vinegar rinse?

Believe it or not, once they dry the vinegar smell is gone.

Same with washing floors with vinegar which does a marvelous job!

After the bath is done and completely rinsed, I put a couple of inches of water in the tub and a couple of cups of white vinegar and scoop the water up with a cup and pour it all over. In the process they also get a vinegar paw soak this way

I think I will try this vinegar thing. Wifey said he has to take his shower weekly. I know people say, it can strip the oil off his skin. I try remedy that by the daily coconut oil intake in his kibbles.

We bath our guys once every two weeks. I use Petsmart's gentle puppy tearless shampoo with oatmeal and chamomile. I shampoo them and then rinse off the shampoo, and then I do a second rinse with equal parts of warm water and vinegar. This keeps them smelling nicer longer in between baths, it conditions the skin and coat and leaves them soft, and it removes the soap residue.

I love vinegar....., on my fries. Does this work

Apple Cider Vinegar


Apple cider is known around the world as Mother Nature’s miracle medicine, a powerful weapon in the war against aging and disease that is more effective than many high-priced prescription drugs. When God created this fruit He designed it be a food and a medicine!

Hi Jumar, if you are using ACV for internal health benefits and putting it in the drinking water or on the kibble then use Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, most people use the Bragg's apple cider vinegar brand, which you can buy at a health food store like Nutrition House or in the Organic section at your grocery store. Here in Canada I buy it at Nutrition House, and it costs $9.99 for a bottle, make sure you put it in the refrigerator after you open it. If you are using vinegar as a rinse agent after bathing your dog, then you don't have to use Organic ACV, as it would be pricey, you can use plain white vinegar that you buy at the grocery store. I add 1 Tbsp of ACV to the drinking water everyday, but if your dog doesn't like the smell or the taste, you can add it to the kibble. When using white vinegar for rinsing mix equal parts of warm water and white vinegar and pour it on your dog after shampooing and rinsing, you can leave this on the skin, and towel dry him, or you can rinse it off.
