Bertha's ACL repair is today

Miss Bertha Bacon is out of surgery! She is still very sedated but they are starting to decrease the Fentanyl drip. I pick her up at 5pm. We are off to get her a stroller and playpen now. Geez, I sound like I have a baby lol

She is your baby!! Stroller, playpen and a nice big drink or 6 sound about right! Good to hear she made surgery ok.

we are picking her up now. She just threw up a little so she may get an anti-emetic injection to prevent aspiration.

We are at home finally! I had a few beers for sure to get through the wait!

I'm so glad Berthas surgery is over, and she is back at home. I'm praying she has a quick and easy recovery. I know the hardest part after surgery is trying to keep them quiet and not jumping or running. They seem to bounce back quickly after surgery. You'll find she'll be a little sleepy for the first few days from the anesthetic and pain medications, and she will also have to pee more frequently and may have an accident due to the extra IV fluids she received during her surgery and from the medications as well. Give her lots of hugs and kisses. Please keep us updated on how she's doing.
