FINALLY, after about 8 months, Bodie is looking better:) We don't know if it was the new antibiotics(he'd never taken before) or if it was the Advantage Multi, or a combo of both, but whatever it was...WE'LL TAKE IT!!!

We recently got the results from sensitivity tests(we sent fur samples to the UK to a woman who saw pics of Bodie on Facebook and she messaged me to see if I'd send her some samples and she'd do the tests for free!), well...Bodie has sensitivities to: (Foods)- ALL fish, turkey, carrots, corn, duck rye(?), and cow's milk (Other)- fragrance candles and air fresheners, latex, molds, pollens and grasses, and cotton. And he's also allergic to dust and storage mites(blood test from 4 years ago) So...he's all messed up!!! Lmao!!

Wow, he looks like a different dog!! The difference is amazing. You did a wonderful job with his skin.

Blue also had allergy testing done (twice) and he's also allergic to grass, trees, dust mites. Was told by various vets, and now two dermatologists that allergy testing doesn't produce accurate results for food. Only an elimination diet does.
So take the food findings with a grain of salt.

Hi Toni, Bodie looks absolutely amazing, he looks like a whole different dog. :goodjob: Mom. You did a good job, I'm sure he must feel so much better, and you as well. I'm so glad his skin cleared up, and pray that he continues to improve.

Thanks everyone!! Bodie eats Fromms Pork & Peas. I did just read an article about peas, and not so good effects from daily feeding of legumes, so I'm a little concerned about that...I do know about allergy testing and food trials and the testing not being a good source for food allergies(we've been to all the specialists also!), but our thoughts about it are: (1) we've been doing the vet/medical route for 4+ years with no relief, (2) even if the tests aren't 100% or for that matter, even 50% accurate, it gives us a guide to kindof go off of, so again even if its only a small percentage, we're not going to give him any of the foods that was said he had sensitivities to!! But after all the years, tests, meds, etc...the only real constant was the fragranced candles and air fresheners! And of course, the grass, dust & storage mites which I can't do anything for. So, fingers crossed, he's on the road to recovery and will remain on that road!!! He has been more itchy and rubbing his face in the last couple of days more than he had in the last couple of months, so...idk?
