Need some opinions! My 3 year old bully has this random patch of skin that is pink with basically no hair. The patch has been there for about a month now. At first I thought it was some kind of weird irritation and that it would go away, but no luck. I did just switch his food to Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient and he loves it! He has an appointment tomorrow with the vet, but I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced this before with their bullies?

Any input is helpful! :)

THANK YOU!

How did the vet visit go? nmejia024

This looks like seasonal flank alopecia, you can try 3mg of melatonin (promotes hair growth) and I would also add an oil like coconut or salmon, a TBSP a day of either type, and a supplement like Nuvet. Also try to give some sunlight time each day as there is many posts that say it is related to lack of sunlight.

Blue Buffalo is a pretty good food-

Bulldogs are known for having many types of skin conditions due to season and/or constant allergies. It's possible that you could use topic treatment or oral medication to clear it up.
