Is my EB too small??

As said before, bulldogs are like people, they come in all shapes and sizes. My Bocephus is almost 10 months old now and weighs in at over 65 lbs - in no way, shape or form is he overweight. Please don't ever listen to anyone who talks in "black or white" terms when it comes to your bulldog. Healthy in one may not be so in another, just like kids.

One in the morning, one in the evening just like you. But lately I've been adding a small spoonful of greek yogurt to his food....never would have thought to do that until I stumbled upon EBN!

My girls are 7 and 11 and both weigh about 39 lbs. Bulldogs have such a wide range in shapes & sizes. I've actually had people look at me like I'm wrong when I say yes they are english Bulldogs like UGA (University of Georgia Mascott). Then they say...are the miniature? to which I respond no they are just not overweight. The funny thing is they both came directly from champion bulldogs. Although they weigh exactly the same, their body shape is very different. Heidi looks fluffier with loose skin and Bridgette looks very lean and muscular. I wondered about size with my first bully but realized it takes 2 or even 3 years to completely grow up and fill out.

Dez looks like a healthy, happy guy -- I love his ears! Ruckus was 48 pounds at 6 months, and now at 17 months he's about 68 pounds. All bullies are different. You're guy might gain few pounds as his head and chest fill out, but not a lot.

Great read! We too are new to EB. We have always had BT before and if they weren't hungry they would leave it alone. My Bruno will scarf down anything you put in his food bowl! How much and often do you feed? Bruno is about 8 months old. We feed him twice a day 1 full cup of fry food. He is not a fatty but does look lean. Are EB just always hungry??

I think mine would eat the whole bag if I let them. They scarf down their food in about 30 seconds! I also feed am & pm, a cup each time. They get home baked treats as well each day. Everything is measured out and we have never had an issue with weight. Mine are lean as well. The big thing to remember is as long as you can see their waist, then they are fine whether they weigh 40lbs or 65lbs. Bully's come in all shapes and sizes.

I tried mixing greek yogurt mixed with pumpkin OR mixing blueberry/banana and then freezing in small cube trays for a nice summer treat but my girls didn't tolerate the yogurt so well. So now I am back to baking dog treats. There are lots of recipes out there but I typically make pumpkin, cinnamon treats or banana blueberry treats. I use gluten/grain free flours b/c they are on grain free food so I wanted to stick with no grain. Since coconut oil is such a hot topic these days...I use a combo of buckwheat and coconut flour to make my treats. I even found some great no bake treats as well but again I found myself tweaking the recipes to meet my dogs specific needs. The frozen treats are super quick and so are the no bake treats but when I bake treats, I make big batches and freeze them until I'm ready to use them.
