Itchy

My 3 year old boy goes through itchy phases. Every now and then his face gets irritated. It's hard to see what part is bothering him because nothing looks out of the norm but when he shakes off, his leg does that scratching things like when we scratch his belly. His ears are fine smell and look great. We tried medicating his wrinkles and chin wrinkles from vets medication to athletics foot cream. Any suggestions.

What are you feeding? And, does it happen at certain time of day... like after coming in from outside

I feed him a food called perfect pet. It's fresh food but not raw. Lamb blend. Ever since we started to use that he has had minimal problems. I don't think it's the food.
I think it might be carpet or just moisture.

Could be a contact allergy, anything new at all? Laundry soap, floor cleaners, room sprays, blooms in the yard?
