First Vet Visit Tomorrow

Jozi goes for her first vet
visit in the AM. What are some of
the questions I need to ask? She
has already had hernia surgery, I'm
sure he will check that. She has to
get her shots too.

This is our first Bulldog so I know there
is a ton of stuff that I don't know to ask.

Most of the time the vet will know exactly what to check These are some of the things he should check but almost always are fine so don't worry.....When I bring my puppies he checks everything from the top down to the toes. Always check tail for tightness, inside the mouth to rule out a soft palate. Check Nares (nostrils), and listen real well to the heart for any heart murmurs. He will also check the eyes for any entropian which could cause the lids to turn in and cause the eyes to water. He will check the Vulva to make sure it is not turned in which could cause urinary tract infections....Good luck at the vet tomorrow and most of all have fun with your new puppy!

How did the visit go? Hope everything went well.

The visit went pretty well. The vet we go
to is the best in town. All of our other
animals go there, along with all of our
families pets too.

When we got there everyone had to
see her. They all were crazy about
her. When we went back the assistant
looked over her paper work and made sure
that everything was up to date.

When the vet came in she reviewed the
paper work as well. She asked if she had
any issues that we had seen. Which Jozi
did have a hernia that was fixed a fews week
ago. She looked at that and it is fine.

She gave Jozi her shot,and took a stool sample.
Checked her hips, Ears, nose, throat, tail and wrinkles.
She showed me how to clean the tail pocket, and
also her wrinkles. I asked how many Bulldogs that
she had seen and she said several. She is currently
seeing 5 Bulldog puppies and has a few more adults
than that.

She seemed very knowledgeable about Bulldogs.
She even explained the soft pallet and all the reason
that Bulldogs have such a hard time breathing,and cooling.
After she checked Jozi we talked for another five or ten
minutes.

So all in all I'm very satisfied with our vet. And think she
will be able to take care of any problems that may come up.

i'm bringin my little guy tomorrow to his first vet visit tomorrow...he just went to the vets with breeder on 12/31 and everything was fine but for some reason I am nervous something is going to be wrong hahaha

vet visit went ok. one teste is really high in him and the vet is going to wait and see if it comes closer to dropping, before he figures out what he is gonna do. My GF was left at the desk while i went outside with Guinness so he could go the bathroom and when I came back she had bought vitamins, heartworm medication, flea and tick stuff...basically whatever they could throw at her hahahaha. Otherwise though healthy and the vet seemed very knowledgeable when it came to bullies.
