Hi all,
I noticed this red lump on Charlei's ear 2 days ago. It almost resembles a pimple, but has gotten slightly bigger over the last couple days. She has been suffering from hives recently (whole other issue I'm working on:() but this doesn't look like a hive to me.
Anyone ever seen anything like this or have any ideas of what I should do?
(Sorry the pics are sideways- haven't figured they out yet)

Sort of looks like a Histiocytoma (benign skin tumor). It usually pops up quickly and takes a few months before it falls off - it definitely doesn't look like a hive though.

Bella would get those… I would just keep it clean, and keep an eye on it. It should go away on it's own...

I just took a closer look with my computer and it really does look like a Histiocytoma. I've had two experiences with this with 2 separate dogs. My Boston mix had one on her side. it kept getting scrapped and bleeding while she played. It took about 4 months to go away completely. My Frenchton just developed one in January on his paw and it slowly went away by March. It too ended up bleeding a bit but then it went away. Best advice as Tracey said is to keep it clean :)

If Charlei's changes shape, doesn't stay round or keeps growing you may want to see the vet. Sully's got as big as a small gum-ball before it went away. here is a pic of what he had on his paw. it looks exactly the same.
