I have a 3 month old EB and have come across a 6 year old female in need of a home; is it too soon to add another EB to our pack? I want to make sure it's a good idea for both dogs. My puppy loves everything and so does the rescue. Please advise!?!

I think it will be fine:) we got Bennie when Boeboe was about 6 months old, he was only 10 weeks old then. Boeboe was a bit upset for a couple of days sitting in a corner starring into the wall but she got over it pretty fast and they became good friends:) I would think the sooner the better as your puppy then can grow up with the new Bulldog... Just check the older Bulldog so she doesn't get annoyed with the puppy as they have A LOT of energy. We've taken in a few rescue puppies and our 6 year old female bulldog kind of sees them as her kids, she cleans them and corrects them but they also annoys her at times:blush2:

If you can handle it financially and are prepared to train her I say go for it. Yogi would probably really love to have a big sister. :) Thank you for considering a rescue.

I agree if you can do it, and the two get along, then go for it. The puppy will grow up with the new dog, and they will be great company for each other. Bless you for rescuing.

I say never too early. Your pup will love the companionship of the other bully.

Sounds like a good fit.... Slow intro to all your pack and all will adjust nicely

Thanks for the replies; they adopted her before I could get there so I'm looking for an older EB if anyone knows of one needing a great home.
