Tick prevention

Is there something to prevent ticks? And Artemis has a couple patches where the hair is thinning, what could it be?!

Diatomaceous Earth
will kill fleas,ticks, any bugs with exo-skeletons. Get the food grade. It is even safe to eat-will not hurt your animals.
I have used it for years,-- so the floors look "powdery" for a bit. I figure it gets in the cracks between the wood-if there is a bug there-it will get them,too! Should post a picture of where Artemis is having "spots" thinning.
