Well, my poor Bodie boy's skin is all messed up again. He was starting to get better and healing...then BAM! sores everywhere. I can't understand why this baby has to suffer? There should be some kind of shot or something to help him. It's so frustrating!!! We just want him to feel better and be able to enjoy his bully life to the fullest. If only there was a cure-all...

Those look like hot spots, most times are caused by a food allergy.... Poor sweet baby!!! :(. What are you currently doing , this baby needs a steroid injection more than likely, the spots shaved so they can dry out, a antibacterial and antifungal shampoo or hybiclense.

Panalog to put on those to help the itch and speed healing, as well as kill any fungus or bacteria.

Hugs to you both, we will try our very best to help him and you!

Looks like it could be allergies. Have you asked your vet to do an allergy test on him? It's expensive but it can save in the long run. Had to have it done to one of my dogs and it gives you everything they are allergic to. It will tell you what foods they can and can't have along with environmental allergies. In the meantime, a cortizone shot may help. I hope he finds relief.

Awe poor thing.. I know mine wasn't the same sore, but for my bullie, change of food to Avoderm really made the difference in her skin & coat. All her skin issues went away in 2 weeks after we switched her food. I know I'm not speaking for everyone, but it's a miracle food for us :) oh and spoon full of pumpkin & non-fat yogurt ;)

that looks painful for him and it's painful to watch too. Did you give him something extra or do you have any idea what caused this? What are you feeding? A trip to the vet is needed asap and if you're not going to test for allergies then elimination diet is needed and i would do it with home cooked or raw food.

It sounds to me as if she is trying to figure it out. Henry has been having issues also. However Brodie is much more severe. I know how sad it makes me that I don't know why Henry is having issues. I question every single thing we do daily. I think maybe I've figured out what is going on with my baby. I hope you figure it out also. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and all the info. This has been an ongoing struggle for close to 3-31/2 years. It's not demodectiic mange, tested regularly! He does have allergies, tested= grass(all kinds), dust and storage mites. We don't believe him to have any food allergies. He's on a grain free, no gluten, no by-products, no fillers diet. He eats Merrick duck and sweet potato. We live in eastern nc, he's been to NC State dermatologists twice, and seen many specialists many times. The sores on his body are from bacterial infections from allergies. We have a VERY close standing w/our vet, he's currently back on antibiotics, which after 5-6 weeks of, he usually clears up, but the amount of time he stays clear is varied and limited. Average is a month. Then all of a sudden, he'll break out overnight w/12-15 spots, then they just spread over his body. He is VERY itchy, currently he's taking Temaril-P for that. It does contain small amounts of prednisone, so he can't take it for extended amounts of time. He gets a medicated, antifungal, antibacterial bath once a week, per vet orders, and his sores are cleaned daily w/a flush. In the past he was put on Atopica, cyclosporine modified, after 6-8 months, there was ZERO difference, he continued to break out. Along w/the bacteria, we also deal w/yeast, gets worse when he's on antibiotics. His bedding is 100% cotton, and the humidity in our home never gets above 60%.
So, we've done and continue to do everything we've been told to do, but nothing seems to work. At least nothing seems to work and stay working...
