It does look like a cherry eye, but if it's not the it's an infection or inflammation of the third eye lid.

I agree, looking at the darkness around the eye (I'm thinking that is not her color but more of a staining) I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't have an infection or ulcer. It's quite possible she has entropion or distachia. See how her eye is a little foggy and not looking straight at the camera like the other eye.... Her third eyelid is certainly red and enflamed but may or may not be cherry eye. Could be secondary to one of those other problems.

Poor sweet little girl.... BLESS you for saving her and giving her a loving new home!

The gang has you covered, once you get her tot he vet for a check up you will know better, but I agree it could be an infection.
