Cooked er bones usually aren't good because they splinter/break, sorry

awww.. was hoping a T-bone was strong enough to withstand cooking and wouldn't splinter. Guess I'll bring home a small piece of steak. Need to bribe him to leave the warm apartment tonight..lol..

mmm...Morton's....can I go too?

I've been tempted to give my boys bones from pork ribs or beef ribs too but keep reminding myself of the potential dangers of cooked bones. But I'm sure Blue will be quite happy with a juicy piece of steak!

Sure!! The more the merrier!

It's actually a low key new years for us. Dinner, then home, get the pup, go downstairs to watch the fireworks over the Statue of Liberty (that part's very nice), quick toast and then back upstairs. It's freezing here. lol..

BEFORE I joined this site I gave Vegas a steak bone, he about choked to death on it!! The bone got logged in his mouth and I had to pry it out!! No bones ever here, just antlers.
Enjoy your meal, sounds yummy!!

I know you got your answers-but NO! Bones are dangerous. The only bones that I ever let my dogs have were the thickest beef shin bones I could find. The first little dog we had when first married-she was about 25 lbs. had a steak bone.(I thought I was giving her a treat..) A piece of the bone got lodged in her intestine. Luckily, she didn't need surgery-the vet gave her some liquid meds. and several enemas-and she finally was able to pass it. Never gave a bone again! Like I said, only those heavy duty shins. But even then, If I hear a crack-I take the bone! Not worth the risk.
