Our little guy is just fine! He has not had one further tremor, he is eating normally, pooping normally, acting norm...... Well acting like a bulldog- they are never normal!! After reading so many helpful threads here on EBD about IHT in bulldogs, we have decided to hold off on the neurologist consult. Believe me, if he were having symptoms, loss of weight, lethargy, etc, I would bring him in a heartbeat. I can't imagine what a neurologist could actually tell me based on normal bloodwork, and NO symptoms, except, " lets do some tests".... No, I think I will hold off- and IF we see anything out of the norm, I will pursue. I think he had a little "bug", didn't feel like himself, which may have triggered the IHT.
for all of you moms and dads with bullies that have IHT, do they come and go randomly, or can you predict when thy occur? I met someone here in Sarasota whose bully had 2 at 18 months old and never had them again- he is now 7 years old. Would love to hear from you.
Again, thanks for all the helpful advice, and words of comfort! You all rock!!!

Nope no idea when the come on, but at times of great stress can be a trigger.... they also seem to come in clusters sometimes, or just one random one for no apparent reason too. I think you are making the right choice imho I think any extra tests right now is just a waste of time because they likely will provide you with no answers.

Hugs and glad Bogey is doing good! :grouphug:

That's so good to hear!!! Yay bogey!!! Ruthies tremors just come on randomly, mostly when she's asleep. I've looked at every possible scenario and I have yet to figure things out on what brings them on. I hope bogey just had a little bug and he's healthy from here on out.

They are totally random, but we did narrow it down to stress with banks... we noticed when she gets them something has changed or caused her stress. The construction in our area has been a big factor also when we take her for a car ride (she HATES the car) she will have one or two about an hour after getting out of the car... kind of as she relaxes, it comes into play.

Glad to hear Bogeys doing better. Chumleys IHTs are down to about one a week. Last summer they were a half dozen times a day! That was right after the vet gave him a 3yr rabies shot when he had one a year ago. I'm sure it made the tremors worse. I wouldn't waste money at this point. Prayers for Bogey!
