I'm just wondering if any of you have the same issue in your homes... I just pulled my back trying to keep my balance in the kitchen, because of excessive doggie drool or water!!! Our kitchen tile is like a skating rink w/the water & half the time I can't see it!!! My daughter has fallen down twice, and it's not near the water bowls... :bitching:

Ohhhh!!!!! been there done that!!!!! a couple of years ago I had on flip flops, walked into my kitchen, slipped, and fell right down on my tailbone!!! It was bruised for about two weeks, it hurt to stand, sit or walk!!! I have learned that when he is drinking I am lurking in the background with a shammie. I wipe his chin EVERYTIME he drinks, my husband is right on top of it too. That has helped a lot!!!

I had on flip flops too... UGH!!! My back is killing me... I don't even think it was from his water bowl, he was just laying in that spot... I think it was doggie drool!!! Time to pull out the shammies... maybe get him a drool bib!!! LOL

yes!!! chesty after drinking or from drooling will get water everywhere!! I've hit the floor a few times myself :sneaky2: but we now have a dish towel in the kitchen and living room and one in my room to wipe his face with afterwards. It helps for the most part. (except chesty likes to chew/suck on his rags so it makes it hard to wipe his face with a damp/wet towel.) lol so we are always getting new ones because he doesn't want to give the one up he's sucking on.

Ouch!! I have slipped before with Ftse spilling water from his bowl now I have it on a towel to catch the spills but he doesn't really drool.

I hope you can rest plenty and heal your back and your not chasing Marcus today.

Sending a big  to you Tracey.

Tracey, dog drool is very slippery! Yikes, hope you feel better and be careful.

Not trying to kill me with his drool, but the other night I was playing with Tate on the sofa and he literally jumped onto my chest...all 65+ pounds of him. Oh, it hurt so bad and i thought he broke some bones. Luckily i was okay, just a bit winded. :whew:

I guess it's time to get the towels out... LOL

Our kitchen is like a ice skating rink sometimes! I've slipped and fallen many times and no matter how much you watch him you cant wipe his mug off every single time.

Oh man hope you feel better soon. We have tripped over our bullies when they get under our feet in the kitchen and have taken a fall here and there.

'Slippery When Wet'...isn't that the name of a rock album?

Tracey, so glad you are posting but are you sure, no fractures or anything?

You're going to be sooooo sore tomorrow, bathe in epsom salts and take
some acetaminophen before bed or a muscle relaxer if you can find one.

Saying prayers, you're just sore (like that's not enough)...hugs for you!

Tell me about it.
We have nice ceramic tile in the kitchen (Wally-Bubba's room).
A bulldogs job is to cover the entire surface of the planet with slobber.
Slobber and ceramic tile is extremely slippery.
The one time I slipped, I managed to get my hands down behind me in time to break the fall.
Otherwise it could have been another 8 month layup in a full length body cast for another spinal fusion.
I wonder if Obamacare would cover that LOL
Anyway, I try very had to watch what I am walking in since then and have had a few unexpected skids.

Oh yes! I have the same issue! But with bare feet. It's hard to see the drool/water on our tile in the kitchen as well and there have been times when I've slipped into a full split! :cursing: Mind you... I am not that flexible :yell: as much as I try to avoid it it's pretty impossible! So I try to wipe Tank's chin right after he's had some water.. it's easy to forget though!
