Thank you so much! I do need to stay strong. I can do hard things lol.

The Vet swears it has nothing to do with him eating that gel! Coincidental, I guess!?

They swear it would only cause digestion problems.
He is sedated right now but they said he's breathing on his own right now.

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I would bet that him choking triggered the seizures. My Lulu Mae had a day of seizures back in April. It started with a big one in the middle of the night, and then she had smaller ones all day until about 7 pm. After they ruled out all other physical causes and I knew she hadn't eaten anything bad, the vet was almost certain that her sleep apnea triggered it. The vet said that lack of oxygen will cause seizures, so that would probably explain the big one. Then she said it takes at least 24 hours for the brain to clam down, so expect little ones all day, and that is exactly what happened. Lulu has had palate surgery, but her sleep apnea is still bad when she is in a deep sleep. She sleeps with us, so there are many times I push her in the middle of the night when I don't hear snoring. So far, she has been seizure free since then. Hopefully, your little guy is the same way and the seizures will calm down now. Him puking up some of the gunk would hopefully be a good thing, too. Don't panic if he doesn't act like himself for few days. I was so worried that Lulu had brain damage because she seemed "zoned out" for the day or two after and not very responsive, but then her personality came back. I hope your guy feels much better soon!

What a great post LuluMommaTonya! I bet you are right! I have been thinking the worst all night.
It is good to know that he might be zoned out too. I started to worry about brain damage too. I'm such a worrywart.

That makes me feel a little better! Thank you.

The seizures are so disturbing to watch!

That must scare you to death when she stops snoring!

Emily, I'm so sorry about Debo. I know you're just worried sick but I was relieved to read that he's breathing on his own. Did the vet say anything further...will they still be keeping him at the hospital for observation? My boys also chewed up their cooling pad a couple years ago but luckily i was home before they could ingest anything. Please keep us posted thru the day!

Thank you Cali Baker! I am worried sick, but everyone that has replied all night, has really helped me get through the night!

No, I haven't heard anything from the Vet In the last 1 1/2 hrs. Which is good, because no call is a good call.
