Hi everyone! I'm throwing Ruthie a dog birthday party and inviting all of her little dog friends. I want to make her a cake but I obviously don't want to feed all these dogs a real cake. Do you all know of any recipes for a doggy edible cake?

Hi everyone! I'm throwing Ruthie a dog birthday party and inviting all of her little dog friends. I want to make her a cake but I obviously don't want to feed all these dogs a real cake. Do you all know of any recipes for a doggy edible cake?

I got gluten free flour to make a pupcake for Mr. Seamus. Here are some recipes I found online:

Doggy cake
Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 apple, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350*.
  • Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  • Grease a ramekin with olive oil. Fill with batter.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes

Ingredients:

¼ cup honey
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 mashed ripe banana
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup warm water
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup natural peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk wet ingredients together.
Add dry ingredients slowly mixing with whisk or fork until batter is muffin-like.
Spoon into mini muffin tin by the tablespoon.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes before removing from tin.

Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Treats
INGREDIENTS:
3 - 6oz Containers of Plain, low fat yogurt
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1 - 4oz Jar Banana Baby Food
1 Tbsp Honey

DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients, blend well. Pour mixture into small
paper cups and place a dog bone treat in the center (to serve as a handle).
Freeze. Once frozen peel away the paper cup and serve!

Doggie Peanut butter and Pumpkin cookies (wheat free)
Ingredients
2 cups White Rice Flour
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Pumpkin Puree
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. In a large bowl mix all ingredients one at a time, kneading well after each addition.
3. Knead dough into ball and roll onto a floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Cut with the cookie cutter of your choice.
4. Place on your prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes (actually took about 18-20 minutes in my oven). Cool and refrigerate.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen small circles.

Hope Ruthie has a wonderful birthday!!

I was thinking the same thing myself! I hope Ruthie has a wonderful party and a great birthday. Dudley sends special birthday wishes too, and he wishes you lived closer so he could have some cake...he's such a little piggy!

Thanks all! I'll make sure to give Ruthie her birthday wishes, let you know how all the treats turn out and post photos once it's all over!!! I'm more excited about her dog party than I was my own birthday LOL.
