I had Sheldon at the vet today and he has another skin infection  and I have to dip him for his demadex just in case even though he didn't find any mites in the scraping.

That is the strange thing he isn't itching just little bald patches here and there my thoughts are its hot spots but we want to treat him for the demadex just in case its a reoccurance.

Ramsay
Ramsay just went to the vet for a similar skin issue too! It started out as bumps all along his spine with really dry skin, then scabs formed and when they fell off, they would take the hair with them! No itching at all on his part. Then about a week later when I was brushing him, all along his spine tons of fur was coming out so I took him to the vet.

Same results as you. Skin scrape showed no mites. Vet thinks it might be a yeast or bacterial infection, or from his changing hormones due to growth. We were given mal-a-kat antifungal and antibacterial shampoo and some oils to give Ramsay over the next week. The shampoo seemed to work well, but now (3 days later) his very dry skin is back. He's due for another shampoo tomorrow so hopefully that will resolve the issue!

He is going to get a very good bath later then I am going to dip him and give him his antibiotic the vet prescribed him for his infection. I am going to go to the natural food store here and get a shampoo containing tea tree oil.

Salmon oil in the bottle, 2 squirts every morning. It makes a HUGE difference, Buster had the same kind of issue.

Thank you, can I find that at our local natural food store?
