My husband is thinking of training Chester so he can get the "Canine Good Citizen" certification and do things like hospital visits. He's doing MUCH better in puppy class this time than last time  He's so gentle and laid back I think he'd be perfect - if he'd just learn to listen :p

I plan on getting one with Dinah...She is gonna be my rescue advocate we are also going to go to schools for the deaf and do therapy work with hospitals and retirement homes. I think this is a GREAT way to give back and the people you get to help by giving them a little joy is a feeling that is indescribable.

Both Lari and I worked at a large skilled nursing facility until recently. 'Mission' was our therapy dog, and what a sweetie she is. She is a 'golden-doodle'. She is now retired and lives with Lari's manager. The reason I bring this up is that she was TALL. I wonder how well a bullie would be for that job as they are so short. Would people in wheelchairs or in bed be able to interact with them?
