Does anyone get their yard treated for mosquitos or know anything about it?

I have never and will never use chemicals on my lawn. You can achieve the same results with plants. There are a lot of plants that repel mosquitoes, flies, fleas and ticks. Lemon grass, lavender... there are too many to list

I have planters on my deck with rosemary, oregano, mint, basil and thyme. Great for cooking AND keeping the bugs away when we are eating. :2thumbs:

oh, and isn't this pretty? http://www.amateurgardening.com/home/insect-repellent-patio-planter-reader-offer/

There is an organic spray that I purchase at Home Depot that is made with citrus oil and a few other things that repel flies and mosquitos. I normally spray that on the grass and it lasts for about two weeks unless we get tons of rain.

I took an old bundt cake pan, filled it with creeping thyme, chocolate basil and whatever flowers those are and put the umbrella through it on the table. We sit out there almost every night and not a single bug bite on any of us.
