Sudden growth of hair between pads

This is a bizarre question, but I noticed that Linus, my 7.5 year old bully, has had a dramatic growth of fur between the pads of his paws. I never clipped that fur or anything and it always was short and unnoticeable but now it's long and shaggy!

Has anyone experienced a sudden growth of hair between pads? Is there a reason for it? Should I clip it?

I know it's an odd question but thanks for any help!

WOW... so bizarre... I noticed this with Banks about a month ago... she is also 7.5 yrs old... wonder if it has something to do with age??

How odd! Maybe it's an age thing because it seemed to come from no where! Did you clip it?

No... I let it be... does not seem to bother her. when i talk with my vet on Tuesday about Cheli, I try to remember to ask him about it

Hmmm . . . maybe it's like us. As we age our hair recedes on our heads and starts growing in our ears and nose. And eyebrows.
