Well I pulled the trigger and sent a deposit to a breeder in Australia for pup in an upcoming litter. The next litter should arrive in a few weeks... this is our first bulldog, and we are very excited and can't wait to see the results. The breeder has an impressive web site which shares their breeding process and provides a lot of information on the parents. www.bullacre.com . Anyone have experience with this breeder? Everything looks and feels right with this breeder, which is comforting especially since I was a victim of a recent puppy scam attempt... I put the story of the scam in the "Scam Alert" section. So we are crossing our fingers that everything works well on this attempt.
The reason I am going through an Australian breeder is because of the Hawaii quarantine policy on mainland dogs, and I was unable to find any reputable breeders on island.

The link to the site is not working. Did you post it correctly? Would love to check it out.
Corrected the link... it is bullacre vice bullacres
I agree they look like a good breeder. You must keep us posted on when you baby is born!
Looks good! Good luck! I bought my kids from Hungary and it all went well. Let us know! And don't forget the pictures!
I will check the site out and also pass it on to a friend in Australia and see if she is close or can find anything else out for you.. I wish you all the luck.. So is it that hard to get a pup to HI from say Ca or AZ? I know alot of people that import and export horses and its really not that bad.
Thanks Pendragon,
It really is that hard to get a pup from anywhere mainland... the Hawaii quarantine applies to carnivores, so horses are no problem. You can prep a dog so that the quarantine is only 5 days, however, the whole prep process involves a series of rabies shots that take several months, so the youngest puppy you can bring in considering the prep time is 10 months... and without the prep time, quarantine is 120 days.
Interesting. But they dont quarantine if you get them fron Australia? Thats too bad for you. Gonna make your pup worth even more to you tho having had to try so hard to get it.
Australia must not have rabies
Just curious as to why you went out of the US to buy a bulldog?
