That's how we pick up Mabel, too. She's 45 pounds.

My guys are in the 60lb range. They can't (or won't) jump into the truck so I have to pick them up. I grab from front between the legs and then under the rear and move quickly cause they don't like it. To make it easier on all of us, I got rid of my truck, so they get to ride in mommy's car till I decide what I want. (Wasn't really fond of the truck anyway!)

When I switched the dogs to raw, I would weigh the dogs every week... which requires me carrying a dog while I step on our bathroom scale. I do the [MENTION=1714]Sherry[/MENTION] way. Now, the trick is trying to see the numbers on the scale while carrying a 60lb bulldog.
