Blue's AKC Pedigree has two sets of numbers for the sire, dam and so on. The one with the letters and numbers, are just their AKC registration number. The other "V" numbers, are just what they say, "AKC DNA" numbers.

By many names depending on the situation?
Hello,

Depending on the history of you pedigree, there could be different letters, etc on the pedigree. Certainly if there are any titles such as CH (Champion), GC (Grand champ) or others. On an import pedigree, unlike AKC, they post all of the wins.... (CH, Res Ch, GC, BOB, BOS, JR CH...etc Then it REALLY looks GREEK.

Did you get your copy from a purchase or a copy from AKC?
Good Day~

I noticed that all numbers start with the letters NP. :hmm:

All of the below is assuming your breeder registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).

That "NP" number is the dogs registration number. Gretzky, his Sire, Dam, etc all have it.
Also, if Gretzky is AKC, he's purebred.

When your breeder had the litter, they registered the litter with AKC and that's when the pups get their own unique NP number (someone please correct me if i'm wrong here). The NP number is just an identification number.
When you purchased him, your breeder should have given you a form and/or number and pin so you could "Register Ownership" with AKC.

Many here haven't sent in the paperwork to AKC because they feel it's pointless. I did though because of the Lost Dog Recovery feature.
