Well..there are no guarantees. They take 2-3 years to finish maturing. Did you know the "official charts" have them at 18-19 inches high..and weighing 40-50 pounds. That's NOT "BIG" but it's how they are supposed to look. Having a healthy..happy Bully can look many different ways! I'm certain you'll love your Bully...no matter what!

Well, Hon...are you second guessing yourself getting a puppy. Maybe THIS puppy?

If so, relax, this is so normal, all of us seriously underestimate how much work they
are, how much they disruption our lives, the household, the budget, lol

Your puppy is just being a puppy, this is not aggression rearing it's ugly head, he's
just full of beans & full of his little bad self. It's way better to have a confident pup
than a timid one so be proud of him! Bulldogs are great with kids, somehow they
know to behave differently w/them-it's so amazing to see how gentle they can be.

Having said that, puppies & kids need to be observed and guided to know HOW to
interact with one another until they 'get it'...never leave them unsupervised!

Yes, you should get a harness, it does give you more control but even better, it's
safer for your breed of dog. As tough & mean & big & fierce looking, bullies have
small windpipes and it can be easily crushed or damaged by pressure(pulling on it)
etc.

Yes, you should immediately correct his biting & snapping at you or ANY unwanted
behavior. Firmly, kindly & calmly and then redirecting his attention. When he IS being
good or follows thru on a command, then give him praise, again calmly (being or talking
in a high pitched, excited voice escalates their excitement and they stop listening) and
a treat (it could be a bit of his kibble).

Just remember tho, he is EIGHT WEEKS OLD so much of the above is, as he gets a bit
older. Just enjoy him, puppies are work but they're also FUN, LOVE & FUNNY...ENJOY!!!

Post us some pics too, Kona sounds like a wonderful bully boy, quit worrying!

Unless you have photos going back several generations you just cant. And even with that there are no guarantees, because even within a litter they come in different shapes and sizes. The only real way to be about 75% sure would be to get a CH Sire and Dam, with multiple ch in their bloodlines as well showing on the pedigree. Usually show breeders will also want the show quality pups from the litter to go to show homes as well.
