She's actually taking to it really well. She already goes on it with all four feet herself, and when it was moving she chased it, hopped on with two feet, and tried to push it. :D

That is adorableness squared. She looks so tiny compared to the skateboard!

I wasn't paying attention for a few seconds, hear a noise, look up, and see Elly on her board! I'm optimistic that with persistence and good training she can get really good at this!

I picked up a skateboard for our Ellie today....literally. We took her to the park and there was an old skateboard laying int he parking lot. We walked for about an hour and it was still there and all of the families with kids that were there had left. So we brought it home. The wife says that I stole it from a kid though. Alls fair when it comes to bulldogs.

How does she like it?

We haven't introduced her to it yet. I might give that a whirl tomorrow if she'll listen a little better than she has tonight. She's been on a tear!

ame16, when we got a board for Wilson he liked it and all but didn't care if it moved. He'd get on it and have us move it for him. He was more content on eating it (which was ok cause they all do that). First we bought a cheap board at Target. That really didn't move freely so we went and bought a 'real' board at a skateboard shop. Think it was around $100. Wilson just really never took a big interest in it.

Now when Emma came along, oh my did she love it. She has a totally different personality and body style than Wilson. She's extremely fast on her feet and very agile. She took to the board like there was no tomorrow and the rest is history. My hubby went out and bought another board, a long board, to use with our pitty Jack (Jack will pull Mike to the park on it, lol). Well that board literally will move on it's on the wheels are that good, lol. We have to take it away from her actually. I think they'll either take to it or they won't.

Just keep trying and make it a very fun thing to do. You could also put her on the board and walk backwards in front of it while pulling the board. We drilled a small hole in the first cheap board and would pull Wilson.

Here's Emma last summer. I can only imagine if we worked with her she'd be really good. She was about 6-8/9 months. :D

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep you all updated on her progress! Hopefully this week we can get her off the ugly rug (the good rug was stored away until she's a bit more consistent with her housebreaking :D) and out into the streets. I don't want to rush things, though.
