IVET dog food and tear stains

I was wondering if anyone knew if IVET dog food is a good dog food. It is a veterinarian dog food and you can only get it from the vet.....I have a 6 month old bully male and he seems to be good with it...only complaint I have is tear stains. Is this cause by the food or what can I do to get ride of the tear stains?
