Bully growth spurts?

Penny will be one March 7 (where did the year go?!). The last week or so she seems hungry... Pawing at her bowl after she has eaten & when she knows it's getting close to time to eat. I don't know she's growing or just really likes her food since I have switched her from Fromm salmon to beef! I was giving her 1.25c morning & evening which is on the low end for her weight per the bag. She looks good - weight wise, but I have been giving her an extra quarter to half cup a half hour or so after she eats dinner bc she is pawing her bowl... Not sure if she's actually hungry or just has me well trained for seconds!! She does seem content after I give her the extra??

She has you well trained for seconds.... as 2 cups a day should be plenty for her.

I agree, it sounds like Penny has you well trained! My dogs will always eat, but we limit them to a cup of kibble (433 calories) in the am and a cup in the pm. Their "bonus" food is a mixture of raw and cooked veggies and some fresh fruit!

Hahaha busted!!! I've had to pick her food bowl up after dinner the last few nights!
